Of course Secularism, fella

What do you think has grown entirely old? your school bag? dinning table? home? or your beliefs which you're trying to imply in today's life explaining a context that itself is thousand years old. Not only this one dedicates his whole life to outdated ideals totally based on outdated happenings what others deem blessedness, devoutness, godliness and the lot more.

Okay, let's start with Religion. What is Religion? What is spirituality? If you're quite religious how more spiritual are you? Or is that correct like my fellow countrymen you are exceedingly Religious barely spiritual? Do you have religious views or spiritual views? Religion is what defines way of life they say, at most life itself they dare say.

So, do you agree with this? we all are made by the Supreme to offer him prayers all the time, to worship him, to have the fear instilled in ourselves leaving out no chance to miss the prayers and to express the submission we take pride in each and every time he prays. I used to do the same. My prayers were all praise to God, they aimed at glorifying, as if glory is all He wanted from all of us. Then I got to know, Submission is the blind acceptance of what I had never seen, and more importantly fear is the factor that is consistently tying me to the routine prayers. Enough, I realized. Submission no more, it has to be replaced with initiative, by then hope had replaced fear. I found myself all set on the journey, battling out my own thoughts, what gets intense is the intuition massacring the already built massive thoughts which lay a new foundation to think upon, to build upon that later again gets collapsed, being vulnerable to the greater intuition. Meanwhile hope is my strength, the further I move, the more I receive. Can't describe the joy my replacement of fear has bestowed upon.

Naive are the people who declare themselves the masters of faith, Naivety is their expression of the ideals through their dress, long gowns, long beards. Naivety is their conclusion of Religion which according to them is the mark of presence in churches, mosques, temples etc. Bertrand Russell has entirely rejected the idea of priesthood in his book; Principles of social reconstruction. Because, they claim to be what they are not for real, if they are to some extent at one end, at the other they have radically gave up the fulfillment and nourishment of mind and instincts, dedicating their whole selves to the religion which alone should be spiritualism. And human nature can only ensure a perfect growth when instincts, mind and spirit are kept in balance.

Don't you think, at least after a little I said above, Religion is personal? It has to be personal. What you reckon destiny is itself the beginning. you're born to be Muslim, Christian, Hindu to prove what you are by how you are. Prove it. Don't worry if atheism turns out to be your stop at a particular time of the journey, only because, it is a temporary stop, you're moving on, searching out the direction, the route and the zenith of very personal quest.

Of course secularism. A country has to be secular. For instance, so called the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, what the Islamic has to do with the Republic of Pakistan. If majority of the citizens are Muslims that doesn't mean the minorities do not exist in the first place, they do exist,  they are Christians, Hindus, Sikh etc. If our country name has to include Islamic then we also need to include christian, Hindu, Sikh no problem if name becomes 'Islamic, Christian, Hindu, Sikh etc Republic of Pakistan'.

We all know the difference between good and evil, strife and peace, destruction and construction and reverence and abhorrence. We all know the social morals are same in order to construct, re-construct and maintain the ever lasting peace no matter how many religions dwell in our society. Now is the time to get rid of religious Pakistan and give birth to the prosperous Pakistan. Even Quaid-e-Azam wanted the same. He much wanted the secular state. I wish if he had lived a bit longer. How about us? We're alive. Can't we make one?

Secularism

So we were randomly assigned to this and 'forced' to make an assignment aka the blog out of this whole thing. We start off by introducing ourselves collectively.

Zarrish Zia
Maham Khalid
Maryam Riaz
Saman Shabbir
Shahbaz Qureshi
Areeba Fareed
Ali Ahmad Jan
Afreen Manzoor

We're from Social Sciences section B that totally kicks section A's ass minus Saman which is the coolest girl from Section A. So we move on by getting to the point.

The topic that we came to a conclusion about is "Secularism".

We'll just be commenting on both the sides of the topic since none of us have come to a certain conclusion and everyone has to put forth their own point of view over the matter.
